BattleCorps: Teaser Text[edit]

Star Commander Valerie Sender is a proud member of Clan Wolf. Under Khan Ward's direction, she leads a Harvest Trial against Clan Goliath Scorpion. But is the honor from such minor battles enough to keep a Clan warrior content? Or does the call of glory scream in her veins, drowning out all else?

Plot Summary[edit]

During a Harvest Trial between Clan Wolf and Clan Goliath Scorpion, Star Commander Valerie Sender of the Wolves Fourth Striker Cluster leads her Star in battle. The Wolves, fielding superior equipment and experienced warriors, are favored to win. The prize is a full Trinary from Clan Goliath Scorpion, which had been bid as isorla.

Valerie Sender, piloting a Warhawk, breaks formation and advances towards the enemy forces. She initiates an attack against a Gargoyle, disabling it with concentrated fire from her Particle Projector Cannons and Large Pulse Lasers. With the enemy 'Mech downed, she advances deeper into the enemy lines, calling her Star to follow. She engages multiple targets, damaging a Summoner and then confronting the enemy commander's Dire Wolf at close range. Despite high heat levels in her 'Mech, she maintains offensive pressure, successfully targeting the Dire Wolf's leg structure. After repeated volleys, the leg collapses, bringing the Dire Wolf down and effectively ending the engagement. With the Clan Goliath Scorpion defensive lines broken, the Wolves press their advantage and secure victory. She claims the Dire Wolf as her isorla and receives commendation from her Star Captain.

The story concludes with Valerie Sender anticipating future battles, particularly the resumed invasion of the Inner Sphere after the expiry of the Truce of Tukayyid.
